Ballycopeland Windmill
County Down is one of the best grain-growing areas in Ireland and windmills have long been a prominent feature of the landscape. At one time over 100 windmill's were recorded in the county of Down and although there are several remains left, only Ballycopeland Windmills survives.
The windmill at Millisle is situated on the Moss Road about half a mile from the main village, and attracts many visitors each year. It is the only working windmill in N. ireland.
